Does Your Dog Get a Valentines Day?

We love our dogs and Valentines Day is a great day to show that! Here we have lovely and fun and practical items for great gift ideas that you and your dog will love.

Things your dog will love in terms of dog treats for Valentines Day and things you will find lovely such as Valentines dog coats and bandanas to keep him or her warm and cosy and looking loved!

Maybe also your dog needs a stylish dog lead and for you some Valentine fun that you can really use all year round for you and your dog.

With all the love you have for your own dog we should not forget those dogs that are in rescue through no fault of their own, perhaps in kennels and feeling a bit alone.

They don't know its Valentines day of course but they do know when they get extra treats and new toys and a bit of love and care so if you can spare a little extra gift for them or just you r time, it will make their day too.

Would You Consider Giving Your Dog A Valentines Day Treat?

Dog Valentines Day Treats - Dog treats-edible valentines day cards

Of course most dogs just adore a treat. In moderation there is nothing wrong with that.

However it is important not to give treats that we humans would consider yummy for example chocolate made for humans can be extremely dangerous for dogs so please avoid it at all costs.

It is far better to get special treats made for dogs and in moderation. My Goldie would have loved these treats - they would have been his first choice!!

Valentine Card For A Furry Friend

I love this Be My Furry Valentines card, it is too cute!

However your furry friend may love it for different reasons in that it is edible.

Lets face it the look of it is important to us humans but its the taste that will win over your pet Valentine :)

Love Is In The Air

Most of us love our pups from when they are tiny puppies right up until old age and we do sometimes spoil them.

My Goldie was certainly my dog Valentine for all of his ten and a half years!

Of all the edible cards for dogs this one is my favourite one. Goldie acted like a puppy for most of his days so "puppy love" is very appropriate!

Did you know that there are over three hundred words for love in canine?

Why Not Spoil Him Or Her ?

So if you would really like to spoil your Valentine pup here is a whole basket of Valentine dog friendly goodies for them.

If you have a family of dogs maybe they could share this basket of treats or perhaps you would get one for each of them.

It would also make a lovely gift for someone who has a dog or dogs who you would like to say a Thank you to for any reason. In addition if you support dog rescues it is always thoughtful to go over near special days and take them additional treats and presents.

Dogs Valentines Day Dog Coats - Coats for your dog

We like to see our dogs warm and cosy.

Often in the early Spring, late Autumn/Fall and winter it can get bitterly cod for many breeds of dog. Especially very small dogs and breeds that have thin coats can really feel the cold.

So it would be a thoughtful and also undeniably cute gift for your dog to buy him or her a lovely warm coat maybe of Valentines Day hearts and lovely red and pink colours. This is just one example but they come in sizes for many breeds of dogs.

Valentines Day For Your Dog-things to do.

If you really want to give your dog a Valentines Day treat !

To give your dog an extra special Valentines Day how about a lovely long walk on a beach or in the countryside or in his or her favourite place. You can even share this with your fave human!! Then when your dog is tired and relaxed YOU can go out for that special romantic Valentines Day Dinner...

Every dog will love a tasty dinner just like we do. Except if your dog have a special diet, maybe add a little special treat to his or her meal-as long as its safe for dogs of course. No chocolate for them!! (unless its doggy special chocolate)

If your dog likes being groomed maybe a lovely grooming session will make his or her day!

If your dog is social with other dogs and you are all up for some real fun -though it probably wont be very romantic for the humans involved ! how about a dog Valentines Day party!! Yes you have to be dog mad to do that one on Valentines Day LOL!!

Everyone loves a special hug - go on give him or her that special cuddle :)

How about sparing a thought and a treat or two for the dogs in rescue who do not have a special person to love this year. Maybe you and your dog can spare one treat or one cuddle this year?

Dog Valentines Day Leads - Make the dogs lead a Valentine one

All dogs need a daily walk, even the tiniest ones. It is important for their mental and physical health. For most of us we need to walk our dogs on a lead for at least some of the time so a good and nice looking and feeling lead is important.

This is a lovely Valentines day dogs lead.It is a beautiful polka design and will be very cute on many dogs.

Treat yourself and your dog to a new lead with a lovely Valentines theme.

Valentines Day Dog Bandanas - Cute bandanas

I think bandanas look very fetching on many dogs. In addition they can be very practical especially if you have a breed of dog that is liable to drool and dribble.

I would have liked to get one for my Goldie but he would not wear a bandana he didn't like to wear anything except his collar!

However his collie friend who was black and white always had a very fetching red bandana which he seemed to enjoy wearing. Of course Goldie seemed to like taking it off his collie friend and carrying it around proudly in his mouth at any opportunity!!

Dogs are not our whole life, but they make our lives whole.
